The Salem Public Library always has great programs going on for kids (especially their summer reading program), and they have a Discover Room that is themed and changes about every 3 months Past themes have been: Grandpa’s Garage (Vehicles and Tools) and Bugs. They also have a really great reading/play area for small kids that includes building bricks, puppets, phone booths, and benches where they can read with parents.

Tues-Wed-Thurs: 10am-9pm
Fri-Sat- 10am-6pm
Sun: 1-5pm
Closed Monday
p.s. There’s a great outdoor fountain outside the library in the courtyard between the library & the city hall – great place for a spring/summer picnic!
